Well we made it! All my worries about getting lost in Tokyo were for nothing. The flight was uneventful except for a lot of turbulence over Western Australia due to some of the wild weather that Carnarvon and surrounding areas were having and the rest of the flight was very smooth.
Narita airport is very orderly and getting through immigration & customs was extremely fast. We were able to exchange some currency, store our bigger pieces of luggage and book a place on the Airport Limousine (kind of like a large shuttle) within minutes. We were on the Limousine within an hour of landing!
It was a long drive into Tokyo proper and I was amazed at how big it was. No wonder there are so many provinces! We are staying at the Sunroute Plaza in Shinjuku and amazingly found our way here with no troubles after being dropped at the local train station.
Here is a photo near where we are staying.
I'll try to post tomorrow night as we are going on a tour that includes a cruise of the harbour which should be great.
Love to All
Sharon

Glad to hear you arrived safely and are enjoying your Japan experiences. Remember me for photo opportunities ... I'm always looking for painting references. I'll catch you on the next post. I have to say, we all felt a little 'flat' after you left on Friday ... we've all been wondering out loud "I wonder where the Holden's are right now? Would they be in Tokyo yet?", Love Michelle
